Online Courses and Talks – Terms and Conditions

Bookings for courses will be made via Eventbrite. You will find a link within the course information. You will receive confirmation and joining instructions from Eventbrite when you enrol. 

Cancellation and refund

• Cancelling  enrolment to a full course: if the cancellation request is made      more than 7 days before the course start date the course fee will be fully      refunded. When a cancellation request is made less than 7 days before  a course’s start date, there is a cancellation fee, which is the cost of the course’s first session. The rest of the course fee will be refunded.
• Cancelling  attendance to one session of a course: - not refundable.
• Tutor  cancelling a course/session/talk:  If I have to cancel or reschedule a course after acceptance of a booking, you will be notified of the changes as soon as possible, and options will be offered. When a suitable alternative is not offered or if you do not accept it, the cost of the cancelled session(s) will be refunded in full.  My liability will be limited to the value of cancelled session(s).

The sessions 

Please do not share the Zoom link in your joining instructions with anyone else. It should only be used by the named person who has enrolled on the course. Any extra attendees who join the event will be charged retrospectively. 

The course materials must not be copied or distributed to any other party without prior written permission.

Data

It is necessary for me to collect some information such as your name and email address. I take all necessary measures to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the information collected and will not share it with third parties.

I will use your information to process your order and to ensure that you receive all the necessary information to access the online course. I retain personal data relating to payments for the minimum statutory periods required by UK law (only your name and how much you paid and when).

General Rules for Student Conduct in Online Courses

Please ensure respectful and considerate behaviour towards all participants. Any serious breaches of expected behaviour may require removal from the course.

When you enter the session, please register with your first name followed by the first letter of your surname.

Do not give out any personal information online, such as your full name, phone number, home or email address. If you need to communicate with me please use the chat function within zoom or email or call me (contact details are below)

Please be aware of your surroundings, particularly if your online activity enables you to share your video or microphone. Ensure that your back-drop is appropriate for a classroom setting (you can always blur your background in the Zoom video settings), and if there are any unexpected noises etc., please mute your microphone or stop the video as needed, until you are safely able to re-activate.
